A well-known speaker, writer, and mentor, C. Mahalingam, or ‘Mali’ as he is addressed in the industry, has many more facets to him apart from driving HR programs like ‘Total Employee Delight’. With an experience of more than 23 years in the industry Mali is an expert in HR management and has led the HR for India operations of IBM, HP, and Philips Software Center before joining Symphony Services four years ago where he has recently been promoted as the Executive Vice President.

A commerce graduate from Sacred Heart College, Mali went on to earn his Masters from Loyola College, Chennai, where he received the prestigious Golden Jubilee Gold Medal for his masters dissertation in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations. Mali is currently the President of the IT Industry HR Association, Bangalore, and is on the National HR Committee of the Confederation of Indian Industry, New Delhi. A Certified Auditor for European Quality Award and Philips Quality Award, he is an eminent speaker at many events and is known to get the listeners into fits of laughter by his humor.

Mali is a regular management columnist with The Smart Techie and several other publications. He also reviews articles for the IIM-B’s Management Review where he is a visiting faculty. He deeply enjoys reading and mentoring young managers.
