Philosopher, dreamer, teacher and a passionate guitarist, Dr. L.S. Ganesh, has been appointed as a member to the Board of Directors at Anantara Solutions. An established academician, Dr. Ganesh is the Head, Department of Management Studies and has been a faculty at IIT Madras since 1987. His expertise has been sought for national and international projects sponsored by the World Bank and UNDP and by professional bodies like CII and Madras Management Association. As an independent Director in the board, Dr. Ganesh hopes to bring an academician’s management perspective to the Anantara team. Talking about his new role, he says, “I’ll use this opportunity to help them build on their strengths and will advise the management team on pushing their excellence further and holistically.”

Dr. Ganesh is a distinguished alumnus of BITS Pilani and has earned his masters and Ph.D degrees from IIT Madras. Before joining IIT as a faculty, he had worked with Air India Mumbai for a year as a maintenance engineer and served as a faculty at NIEPA Delhi and IIM Bangalore. He has a deep passion for teaching and in leisure loves playing guitar. He often strums a few strings of guitar with the student music band in the college. Dr. Ganesh is a deep believer in ‘dharma’. “One must do ones duties irrespective of the fact that one likes the job or not. Also one must not let his/her fear or favor come in the way of performing ones duties,” he explains. He also spends a lot of time in faculty development and building a vibrant community for student education.
