Ayasdi, the developer of Insight Discovery platform that automatically discovers insights from data has raised $10 million in series A funding. This round of funding was led by Khosla Ventures and Floodgate. With the new round, the startup's total funding becomes $13.25 million, which includes contributions both from its current investors as well as angel investors like Michael Ovitz, Steve Blank and The Data Collective’s Matt Ocko, to name a few.

Headquartered in Palo Alto, and lead by Gurjeet Singh, CEO of Ayasdi, the company aims to automate the insight discovery process, allowing end users to find valuable intelligence within massive datasets almost instantaneously. Ayasdi represents the culmination of a decade long research effort at Stanford, led by renowned mathematics professor and Ayasdi Co-Founder Gunnar Carlsson, and funded by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and the National Science Foundation. Ayasdi enables organizations of any size to automatically find answers to questions they did not know to ask. Ayasdi overcomes the limitations of biased and query-driven "Big Data" approaches to reveal never before seen insights within a matter of minutes.
