Automating the processes

Qualitree has recently appointed Kishan Karkal as the Head – Sales & Marketing Operations for India. With over 15 years in the IT industry, Karkal has a vast experience in building and managing various accounts like Manufacturing, Telecom, and High Tech IT global conglomerates. Prior to Qualitree, he was with GCI, managing the company’s IT Sales and Service Delivery accounts in North America. Before GCI Karkal had been working with Hexaware.

Talking about his new role, Karkal says, “I’ll be responsible for setting up the entire sales and business division at Qualitree in India and growing the company’s business by offering its clients a portfolio of solutions for automation of their test processes thereby bringing down the cost with higher quality.” He will operate from the company’s Service Delivery Center in Bangalore handling a team of about 150 people. Returning to India after a stint in the U.S, he is amazed at the difference in the work culture. “I now see organizations becoming more proactive and not simply reacting to the developments happening in the U.S.,” adds Karkal. He is often disturbed by the fact the younger generation of techies frequently hop jobs. He advises them it is important to have dedication for every work they do in order to succeed in life and also to make quality their motto.

Outside work, Karkal is a quiet relaxed person who loves outdoor activities. An avid traveler, he enjoys going on camping and mountaineering with his family, a habit developed during his stay in the U.S.
