ATEN International has launched the world’s first KVMP Switch with ‘Finger Identification System’. The single CL5708 or CL5716 Slideaway LCD KVMP has two consoles (one bus) that controls eight or 16 servers. By daisy chaining as many as 31 additional KVM switches, up to 512 servers can be controlled from a single KVM console. The fingerprint identification system is optional and can be used to control access to the switch, and all devices under its command. An administrator account and up to four user accounts in this feature can use any one of the recorded fingerprints to log in. The KVM switches do not need any software for installation and servers can be added or removed without having to power down the switch. The switch supports all major operating systems (Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux, Mac, and Sun). The CL5708 and CL5716 Slideaway LCD KVMP Switches without fingerprint identification reader are priced at Rs. 1,12,872 and Rs. 1,31,560 respectively.
