Headstrong Services India, recently appointed Alok Sharma as the Vice President for Quality Management Group (QMG). Sharma has a career span of nearly 25 years during which he worked with Electronics Corporation of India, Integra Micro Systems, NIIT and more recently with CSC. In between he also worked as a quality consultant with QIA for two years. As a consultant he helped many companies to scale to CMMI Level 3 and 4.

In his current role, he will be responsible for quality of projects at the global level. “I have to understand the company’s business direction and align my practices with it. The ultimate challenge will be to retain good quality while increasing the company’s growth and revenue,” says Sharma.

As a senior executive of the company, Sharma believes in a two-way approach to leadership – 1. Add value to the business as a leader and 2. Strive to create new leaders at the employee level. A simple and down to earth person, he believes that being straightforward is his biggest strength. He advises young techies not to restrict their vision to coding alone but look at the paraphernalia. Apart from work, Sharma passionately follows football and loves writing poems whenever artistic wave catches him.
