Date:   Monday , November 03, 2008

Sierra Atlantic is pretty confident about its expertise in Oracle, Agile, PeopleSoft, and Siebel. “We offer complete lifecycle application management solutions, with excellence in business application implementation, integration, upgrade, and support, providing superior value with our global delivery model,” says Raju Reddy, CEO. Sierra Atlantic helps their customers optimize their investments in enterprise business applications - ERP, CRM, PLM and SCM from the top vendors mentioned above.
What differentiates Sierra from its competition is their deep engagement with the partners to deliver an integrated service offering. For instance, Sierra Atlantic had played a part in developing several product initiatives with Agile, Siebel and Peoplesoft when they were independent companies. After Oracle’s acquisition of these companies, it opened up a whole new economy for Sierra Atlantic as well as large enterprise customers. Since Sierra Atlantic helped in the development of these products, they also successfully started offering solutions around these applications. “We have a tight relationship with Oracle. And it’s the same with other software vendors as well,” says GK Murthy, Sr. VP, Enterprise Solutions.

Founded in 1993 Sierra Atlantic is headquartered in Fremont, California with offices situated in 20 plus countries. Interestingly, the 15-year-old privately held company began operation as a software developer. Today IT services (ITS) and out sourced product development (OPD) are its key focus areas. “Our IT services, makes up about 70 percent and OPD makes around 30 percent of the total revenue,” says GK Murthy.

In 2004, the Oracle Partner Network named a Sierra Atlantic product “Solution of the Year, Industry.” It has received several notable awards in the last 12 months including Most admired company in Silicon Valley and Best company in South China. Also it has been listed in “Top 25 Great Places To Work” in a study conducted by the Grow Talent group. It also honored as Leader in "New Oracle Economy" with global services from India and China. “The company is well managed to face current economic environment and has invested nearly $30 million to build new campus in India, and to acquire companies to expand into China and other APAC regions,” concludes GK.
