2 Indians Named 2015 Yale World Fellows in U.S. Date:   Wednesday , May 13, 2015 Two Indians, Rahul Pandita and Zeena Johar are among 16 people named by Yale University as its 2015 World Fellows, the signature global leadership development initiative at the prestigious US institution. Pandita and Johar will arrive at the university later this year for an intensive four-month period of academic enrichment and leadership training. \"The Fellowship was designed to provide people like these, working tirelessly toward large scale change, avaluable opportunity to take a step back from the intensity of their work, to learn from and exchange with the University community and to develop strong relationships with like-minded peers,\" said Emma Sky, Director of incoming Yale World Fellows. Ms Johar founded SughaVazhvu Healthcare (SVHC) and IKP Centre for Technologies in Public Health (ICTPH) to create a primary-care delivery network that enabled over 70,000 patient visits through its network of nine clinics in Rural Tamil Nadu. He reported extensively about conflicts in Iraq and Sri Lanka and is known for his reportage on Maoist insurgency incentral and eastern India, and on the turmoil in Kashmir, according to Yale. A recipient of the International Red Cross Award for conflict reporting, Mr Pandita was the editor of Opinion and Special Stories for the Hindu. The 2015 Yale selection was done from a pool of about 4,000 applicants for the New Haven-based University\'s signature global leadership development initiative. The global Yale World Fellows network now includes 17 Indian Fellows, more than any other country since the establishment of the programme in 2002.
