Sunil Chanda Employer: Hackett Technology Solutions Designation: Associate Consultant (PeopleSoft) Experience: 1 year ST: What is your job there? SC: My job here is application development. ST: What do you like about your job? SC: Good salary, good social status, challenging environment, and exposure to new technologies. ST: What do you find challenging about your job? SC: Everyday is a challenge in software industry. ST: What have you found that makes your job easier? SC: I have developed my debugging skills a lot and that makes my job easier, and also R&D that I do before starting any work on hand. Harinath Pudipeddi Employer: Cerner HealthCare Solutions Designation: Manager - Deployment Experience: 9 years and 6 months ST: What is your job there? HP: My team and I are responsible for implementation of Cerner Solutions. ST: What do you like about your job? HP: When you know your work directly impacts the life of patients, it sure is exciting and makes a difference. ST: What do you find challenging about your job? HP: Our solutions are used in many hospitals around the world. We cannot afford to make a mistake while implementing because a minor mistake could affect a person’s life. ST: What have you found that makes your job easier? HP: I put myself in the situation; Maintaining my cool even at pressured times is the only solution for the role I play. I have learned this over the last four years.
Himanshu Bhatnagar Employer: Tech Mahindra (also an independent filmmaker) Designation: Technical Associate Experience: 6 months ST: What is your job there? HB: I am just out of my training period and am yet to start working on a project. I’ll be mainly involved in Testing. In the meanwhile I’m busy sending two of my films – ‘Peer Pressure’ and ‘The Secret’ – to various film festivals across the country. ST: What do you like about your job? HB: The work environment, colleagues, and the freedom and flexibility to complete our work. ST: What do you find challenging about your job? HB: I do not know, as I have not started working on a project yet. ST: What have you found that makes your job easier? HB: For the time being I think the training that I have received is what will help me understand my work and make it easier.
