Aney Paul wins Legislative District 14 Primary in New York Date:   Wednesday , November 30, 2011 Indian American Aney Paul wins the democratic primary in New York’s District 14 beating her opponent, Spring Valley’s Hank Stewart, by 239 votes. The elections were held on the 8th of November, 2011. “It feels good, I feel happy, but it's just beginning. The first step is over, but there's still more work to do. We'll work as a team and we will win again,” says Aney. The Federation of Malayalee Associations of North America (FOMAA) were among the first ones to congratulated her. “Aney Paul's victory is truly an inspiration for the Malayalee American community,” says John Uralil, President, FOMAA. Aney Paul has lived in Nanuet for over 24 years and is a nurse at the Nyack Hospital. She is also the president of the New City Library Board. She has been committed to the service of the society for more than 30 years and has been recognized immensely for it.
