To rejuvenate the parched IT landscape through cutting edge technologies, the U.S. based Tektronix, a test, measurement, and monitoring instrumentation provider has transformed its Indian center into a research and development center (R&D).
Currently, the Indian team works on the higher version of the high definition multimedia interface (HDMI), Display port. "Of the 12-15 new products introduced in the last two years, almost 85 percent was developed at the Indian center. We are getting to a stage where one third of our engineers working on any given Tektronix project will be from the India center," says Badri Malynur, Team India Site Manager, Tektronix.
Apart from creating offbeat technologies, the Indian center is also involved in several programs to train the engineers.
