With 17 years of experience in sales and marketing, Jagannath Patnaik has been recently appointed as Director of Channels at Kaspersky Lab India for South Asia. Patnaik will be responsible for handling the national distributors and establishing the brand across South Asia.

Prior to joining Kaspersky, Patnaik worked at Quick Heal Technologies as Vice President - Sales and Marketing. He started off his career with DE-MECH Group, Pune as Sales Officer in their Industrial products division. His earlier associations include Dynavox Electronics as Senior Sales Executive for Cannon Office automation equipments and Oriental Rubber Industries as Area Sales Manager for industrial capital goods.

Patnaik believes that leadership is about inspiring confidence among the team members and it should be more in actions than in words. Also, a leader should give ‘the courage to tread into unknown areas and the confidence to come out triumphantly’. Patnaik attributes his successful career to the simple mantras of confidence, commitment, and courage. Holding on to his convictions, he advises the young technology professionals to believe in themselves and ‘work smart’.

Apart from work, Patnaik loves traveling, visiting temples, spending time with his wife and kid, and involving himself in religious activities and functions. He has an MBA degree from the University of Pune.
