Striving to Achieve a Big Picture Date:   Friday , May 07, 2010 Mukund Surange is recently appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer for eGestalt Technologies, India. He will be responsible for technology consulting and products-based delivery initiatives for the Indian and Asia Pacific markets. Surange claims, “I look forward to working closely with the eGestalt management team and the consulting and product teams to help diversify, build, and grow the company.” Prior to eGestalt, Surange was a General Manager at IBM. He had a long stint with IBM for 17 years. Surange brings with him 21 plus years of experience in the technology consulting and product development arena. Surange believes in the simple mantra of working hard and playing hard. He says, “A detailed roadmap for achieving a big picture that I have is a major driving factor in my successful career.” He also believes that a leader should ‘put the right people in the right job’ to reach the desired goal. He advises the young technology professionals to always be in touch with the ground reality of business. They need to understand the business very closely as technology exists to meet the goals of business. Apart from work, Surange enjoys traveling, photography, and listening to Indian music. He holds a master’s degree in computer science from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and an MBA (postgraduate Diploma) from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
