Date:   Thursday , January 06, 2011

HP in association with International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore (IIIT-B) launched HP Network University. Based out of the IIIT-B campus in Electronic City, the university will allow IT professionals to advance their knowledge in the delivery of next-generation enterprise networks.

The university will provide the tools, methodologies and labs to teach the latest standards in networking solutions for both students and the employees. Spread over three to six months, the course will cover basic to advanced levels of networking, network security, consulting and converged infrastructure. “Organizations are increasingly network dependent as they develop new ways to engage their customers, employees and partners. This brings a challenge as well as an opportunity for the IT community,” said Neelam Dhawan, Managing Director, HP India.

“We bring together expert faculty, best in class infrastructure and a proven industry academia relationship. Our association with HP will add immense value to our education system and bridge the gap of training between employers and academic institutions,” said Prof. Sadagopan, Director, IIIT-Bangalore.

HP and IIIT-B will also establish up a dedicated lab to study and analyze networking technologies. HP has already put in an investment of $1 million to set up the lab and is prepared to invest more in the venture. The certification for all courses will be provided by Prometric.
