Intel Gives a Boost to Parallel Computing in India Date:   Tuesday , June 02, 2009 Sensing an increasing interest among Indian developers towards parallel computing, the IT major Intel has launched Intel Parallel Studio in India, a suite of products that is designed specifically for Windows developers in the Indian market. Globally, this is the second such launch by the company after the one in the U.S. last year. The new product suite is unveiled with a price tag of $799 for the whole suite, and individual components of the suite would cost $299 each and would be available in the market from May end. “We are talking to several developers and resellers in India,” says James Reinders, Chief Evangelist and Director of Marketing and Business, Intel, who would be traveling to other cities around the world telling about this new product aimed at enhancing parallelism. Intel Parallel Studio is a set of development tools for multi-core parallelism that is designed specifically for Microsoft Visual Studio C++ architects, developers, and software innovators creating parallel Window applications. The suite includes three components: Intel Parallel Composer, Parallel Inspector, and Parallel Amplifier.
