With wide ranging experiences, Kartik Shahani is now appointed as the Regional Leader for India and SAARC at RSA, the Security Division of EMC. In this role, Shahani will be responsible for leading RSA’s business operations in the region and growing sales of the company’s offerings in the area of security solutions for business acceleration.

Elaborating on his role as Regional Leader at RSA for India and SAARC, Shahani says, “I look forward to building on the growth base already in place and accelerating it to new levels.” Prior to joining RSA, Shahani held senior positions with McAfee India Sales and Netmagic. He also played a key role in setting up the High End Production Systems group at Xerox India. He has worked in various capacities - from a programmer, field engineer, enterprise sales manager, and so on - to grow to the position of a regional leader during his distinguished career.

As a good team builder and leader, Shahani believes that there should be a code of conduct for every member of the team. He also feels that a leader should give the team members the freedom to learn new things and do things differently, within the code of conduct, however.

Shahani holds an engineering degree from the University of Bombay and an MBA from the University of New England, Australia. Outside work, Shahani enjoys traveling, trekking, camping, and reading.
