Click2Clinic: The Healthcare Aggregator that is a Clinicopedia in Itself

Date:   Wednesday , February 22, 2017

India has reached Mars, but Indian healthcare sector seems to be residing in Pluto – far from the reach of an average common man. Being on life support since long, Indian healthcare is witnessing a new low each day – WHO earmarked the doctor-patient ratio as one of the world’s worst, while rural population live with acute shortage of 60 percent specialist doctors. This seems to be the perfect time to go from no doctor to e-Doctors leveraging technology. While companies like Lybrate, Practo, and Doctor Insta cater to specific group of healthcare stakeholders, there still exists a gap that needs immediate attention to connect not just few but every stakeholder.

Heralding the dawn of a new era, Click2Clinc has created a virtual world where healthcare stakeholders stay just a click away from each other to assist at the time of need. Click2Clinic’s Clinicopedia is one such robust healthcare app that connects hospitals, doctors, nurses, patients (both rural & urban), physicians, path labs, physiotherapists and pharmacies, all on a single platform, thus aligning the disparate healthcare ecosystem. Acting as a healthcare aggregator, the company claims Clinicopedia to be the world’s first dedicated healthcare social networking app which knows no boundary.

An Encyclopaedia in Itself

Connecting billions of patients globally to search, and connect with other patients & doctors by symptom, side effect, syndrome, surgery or disease, Clinicopedia is addressing one of the major healthcare debacles. This free app launcher comes with value added apps like HealthCall, HomeHeal, HealthCloud and HealthBid (available on leading app stores). Moving beyond the usual, the HealthCall app allows users to send friend requests & accept invitations from other patients, doctors and medical students across the globe to build their own healthcare support network. Acting as a discussion forum, Clinicopedia empowers members to upload content, photographs, audios & videos, and browse, while the chat feature enables users to write or respond to a post on real time.

The app also provides value added services like latest healthcare feeds, journals, articles in a layman term, video embedded information that patients can look at, get basic understanding and if need be, book consultation. The app even allows patients to have a five minutes one-on-one consultation with the doctor and make request for home consultation for nurses or doctors post making in-app payment. “We go beyond the conventional ways. Hence to ensure patients get best medical facilities at affordable prices, we have come up with a unique approach called HealthBid where hospitals and diagnostic centres bid their offerings to the patients looking for services they offer,” says Dr. Sujeeth Reddy Punnam MD, Chairman & Founder, Click2Clinic.

Making Healthcare Local & Secure

Being second in geriatric population globally, India’s elderly populace is still deprived of basic healthcare facilities. And with kids moving to metro and foreign locations, their ordeal seems to be just the beginning. To end their suffering and ensure peace of mind for kids staying far, Click2Clinic’s HomeHeal is a boon. Acting as a healthcare aggregator, the app’s geolocalise feature empowers patients to find the closest healthcare provider and in turn make a request for consultation from the on-boarded doctors, nurses and physiotherapists. The on-boarded healthcare professionals turn their app on when available and show up on the geolocalise map, and when the patients open their app, they can just click and request services at their home. But how does the company ensure that the on-boarded professionals and their services are authentic? “Only after a detailed due diligence and thorough background and certificate verification through Medical Council of India and other certifying bodies is any professional on-boarded on Clinicopedia,” claims Sujeeth.

Rural areas have been treated as a step-child by healthcare providers for long. But Click2Clinic has always believed in taking the road less travelled. Hastened to stitch the gap between the rural and the urban areas, Click2Clinic’s Rural Telemedicine operator visits patients’ home and arranges HealthCall app based five minute tele-consultation with doctors and specialists empanelled with its network. However, lack of education, proper healthcare knowledge and facilities played the road blocks. Ttaking the bull by its horns, the company created a group of healthcare workers who provide door-to-door healthcare services, for instance practicing registered medical practitioners of ASHA workers. “We get them on-boarded as RTMOs through Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC) through our tie-up with them,” asserts Sujeeth.

Working hand-in-glove with Medicity Medical College in Hyderabad, Click2Clinic provide them 100 hours curriculum, which is part video-based and part onsite training. “Once certified by HSSC and getting Union Government endorsed certification to provide basic medical services, we on-board them and create a niche triangle wherein rural people can avail a consultation from urban physician through these rural telemedicine operators,” adds he.

En Route to Future

For the last one year, Click2Clinic was engaged in modifying its technology after thorough research of the requirements of the industry, the stakeholders’ expectations and how they want to improve their services. This is why the recently launched healthcare social networking app is creating strides in the industry. Click2Clinic aims to reach 20 tier I and II and metro cities of the country and at least 1000 villages in terms of RTMOs within next one year, while 2018 will see a more significant expansion.
To meet this huge growth plans, this seed funded company is in the process of negotiation with few investment companies for a bridge funding in next six months, and by the year end, it will go for another round of funding. Click2Clinic is also in the advanced phase of negotiating for starting its operations in Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
