NetApp Unveils Green Innovation Center in Bangalore

The storage player NetApp has set up a NetApp Innovation Center (NIC) in Bangalore for customers to walk in and accurately assess measurable benefits of advanced technology. An investment of $20 million has been made in this data center. With 390 racks, it delivers a power usage ratio of 1.55 compared to the industry average of 2.5, thereby addressing the green IT requirements of the growing industry.

The NIC is collocated with the NetApp engineering center in Bangalore, which was set up in 2003. This will enable clients receive technical help from experts for running and testing their applications before buying one.
Applications can be tested in NIC with simulation scenarios, stress tests, and integration with NetApp data management suite of solutions. The NIC has already helped 90 percent of the customers to design and select the right solution for their environments.
