3i Infotech has set up BPO Subsidiary

n a bid to streamline its BPO services, the IT solutions provider 3i Infotech has set up 3i Infotech BPO, as a wholly owned subsidiary. The BPO subsidiary will render end-to-end business process services to the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) and telecom companies in the domestic market.

“The subsidiary would enable us to offer the complete range of business process services to our clients and leverage the growth opportunity in BPO, which is experiencing a new upsurge of activity in the domestic market,” says Anirudh Prabhakaran, Executive Director and President, South Asia, 3i Infotech.

3i Infotech BPO will offer a wide range of services including data processing, payroll, finance and accounting, staffing and HR services, customer relationship management, registrar and transfer agency services, payment and check processing, and receivables management.

The BPO services of the company are spread across more than 200 cities in India, with a total workforce of nearly 7,000 employees. With a total contribution of Rs. 2,300 crore, the revenues from the company’s BPO services amounted to one third of its total revenues in 2008-’09.
