Some of the services offered in this front are design, analysis, reverse engineering, technical publications, and document management systems.

Though the global crisis of economic slowdown has dented the businesses of several companies, ASM has been viewing this as an opportunity to provide greater value to existing clients and add new clients to its kitty with its global delivery model. The company is looking to garner more work from the U.S. and other regional markets by leveraging its offshore work delivery capability and thereby reducing the total ownership and operating costs for the clients. Since inception, the company has been running offshore development centers (ODCs) both in India and overseas locations (Singapore, Chicago, Toledo, and London) for its clients, providing cost effective onsite, offsite, and offshore services through a team of over 600 experienced engineers and consultants with extensive technical and domain expertise. Today, the company boasts of an elite clientele that comprises of 52 percent of Fortune 500 companies and 78 percent of Global 2000.

Even amidst the economic slowdown, the company has managed to sail through without much business loss, registering 16.6 percent growth last fiscal at a net profit of Rs. 42.21 million. Quite pleased with the performance, the board of directors has recommended the approval of a dividend of 10 percent on the par value of Rs. 10 per share for the financial year 2008-09 to the members.

“We attribute our success to an experienced management team and the customer-oriented outlook of the organization that is dedicated to excellence. Propelled by the talent of our people and laying faith in the resilience of our business model, we look forward to overcoming challenges that lie ahead of us,” says Krishnan.

Riding on the current tide of growth, Krishnan is now feverishly charting the future roadmap. “The economy is just reviving and it is a must that we stay ahead with a plan of action ready for further growth and developments,” he explains. He has aimed at reaching $100 million revenue in the next three years, expanding into new geographies, and having more offerings to the existing customers in multiple geographies. The plan of action in the charter includes building a strong and flexible delivery model to meet the requirements of individual clients, innovative offerings, stronger quality driven methodologies, and creating new products and IP. With its impeccable record of technology expertise and effective client service, the tough course of action does not look too difficult to achieve.
