BlobCity did a soft launch on May, 2012, with a full release exactly a year later. It is based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It was our search for a database that we ended up designing and conceptualizing our own Database system. 2. What inspired you to conceptualize the company? There were many development tools and databases in the market, but none of them, with an exception to flat file database systems, were able to give the performance and scalability we envisioned. We came up with this fantastic product with unique features like no-query and exceptional high speed that made to conceptualize the company. 3. What was the original vision? It was bringing all social networks under a single umbrella. We needed a free database that could take on the load requirements of the application. The best approach seemed to be to write one that gave exceptional performance and could be used easily and efficiently inside our development environment. 4. Describe your product/services? BlobCity offers the first and only no-query database. It blurs the boundaries between hardware and software to completely refine the experience of performance and power. BlobCity supports various indexing mechanisms, filters, triggers and relations along with transaction management. If so, who is the funding source behind the company? We are lucky and proud to be bootstrapped. 6. Please provide how your product gives value for your customers. Data processing on the cloud has become an integral part of any business; hence processing it efficiently and faster is very important. BlobCity is built keeping this very aspect in mind. It is beautifully designed and accustomed to give you the best performance any database can give you today. 7. Who was your initial customer? We have been fortunate to have an initial set of customers who trust us with their applications; we designed, developed and integrated our database in their applications and hosted it on our servers. It is overwhelming to see their face lit up seeing the end product, the performance and flexibility it gave them. It is both encouraging and a different experience, motivating us to deliver our best always. 8. What do the next 12 months hold for your company? You would experience the next big thing in the database world. We are more focused on giving our customers the best application-database experience; help their businesses go to the next stage of getting on the cloud. 9. What\'s your advice for the first time entrepreneurs? Make a difference by offering your best and don\'t be in a hurry to succeed.
