CETPA Infotech: Equipping the New Breed of Engineers
Date: Tuesday , March 04, 2014
India, a country that stands seventh in the world in terms of area but second in the number of population with over 65 percent of the total population under 35 years and 14 percent between 18-23 years. The future of the country entirely depends on these young chunks but captive to the current education system, things seem ominous. To gift the nation with some of the brightest Einstein minds in the field of engineering, CETPA Infotech was founded by three stalwart personalities - Vikas Kalra, Girish Singh and Anil Singh. CETPA was originated in the year 2002 and conducted initial training programs in collaboration with STEP IIT Roorkee. The motto was to provide Industrial job oriented training, software & embedded development and placement consultancy for the young engineering minds. The main objective was to bridge the gap between industry and academia.
It provides 4/6 weeks/months summer training, winter training and regular industrial training for students and working professionals. \"We believe education plays an important role in shaping a nation\'s growth. Hence, we decided to contribute in the field of training and education to help in building competent engineers who can contribute successfully in the development of the nation,\" says Vikas Kalra, Director, CETPA Infotech. In a very short span of time, CETPA tasted success and soon spearheaded in Noida, Lucknow and Dehradun with a mission to provide training for the engineering students and working professionals.
Dearth of Basic Fundamentals
The trio recognized an absurd trend among the fresh graduates; they lack the basic fundamental concepts of their courses and the colleges fail to provide practical oriented trainings. This leads to a vague situation where the demand of fresh graduates are at peak but the supply of the skilled freshers are scarce. With time, the distance between the two ledges has grown constantly leading to huge misbalance of the situation. CETPA is working towards bridging this gap by providing training in different domains of engineering viz - Computer Science , Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering on over 50 cutting edge technologies including Java, .NET, Android, Silverlight, Magento, Autocad, Telecom, Matlab, PLC SCADA, Cloud Computing and many more. It provides customized and comprehensive study materials along with online certification and verification for its students.
The company deals with both students and corporate projects. Inspired by their DNA of being perfectionist, the trio is involved in making a difference in the field of education and training by providing quality technical education to its students and professionals. On the other hand, the company strives to provide the best solutions for the clients and be ahead of the competition while focusing on serving the nation. The company has developed industrial projects for Media Lab Asia (a subsidiary of Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India), Central Electronics Limited (a Government PSU) and Samtel Displays (Asia\'s biggest display manufacturing company). As a result, students get a chance to work on these live projects and gain greater insights on the current industrial trends. Recently, a project named \'Un Manned Vehicle to Moon\' developed by CETPA students from Kurukshetra University was selected by NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) for worldwide competition Lunabotic.
Bringing Difference with Practical Trainings
Industries have undergone a 360 degree change with the ever evolving technology. With the advent of Smartphone, touch screen computers, Tablets, and Android based games, the role of engineers are getting complex. Companies are not willing to invest on training the fresh batch of engineers and MCA candidates; rather are on the lookout for readymade product. Hence, doing industrial training from a training and software development company where students get practical exposure makes a lot of difference. CETPA emphasizes on software and practical oriented trainings more than the theoretical ones that helps them in better placement. It entered into strong tie-ups and association with Huawei Technologies for providing telecommunication training and also forged tie-ups with companies like PTC (Parametric Technology Corporation), Siemens and several others.
However, sometimes these qualified and industry ready students and professionals find it difficult to be placed in a company that is at par with their talent. CETPA ventured into Placement and Consultancy to help such students place in the top notch companies. The dedicated placement cell works 24x7 to make tie-ups with National and International clients for the placement of CETPA Certified students and helped the students get placed in many Fortune 500 and other blue-chip companies like Fiserv, Sony, EA Sports, Wipro, Netsity, TCS, Multivirt, and several other giants. The trainers, placement officers and administrative staffs are available at a hands distance to help the students and extend their support post training period as well.
CETPA\'s preliminary motive is to provide such quality technical education that will make these fresh batch of candidates the preferred choice of such companies. To fulfill this, the company is equipping its arsenal with sharp weapons, i.e., highly skilled team members who are abreast with the latest advancements happening in the tools, techniques and procedures followed in the industry. CETPA\'s trainers and experts not only provide training to the students but are also involved in development domain which provides them rich experience from core industries. This helps the trainers to be abreast with the latest market and industry standard developments to deliver practical oriented training to the students and working professionals.
CETPA has been awarded the Best IT and Embedded Training Company for four consecutive years from 2011 till 2014 by Big Brands Academy. Apart from this, the company has also been awarded the State Excellence award for the year 2013. CETPA has delivered training in more than 300 Universities and Colleges including STEP IIT Roorkee, Department of Continuing Education IIT Roorkee, Bundelkhand University, ITM Group Gwalior, Galgotia University, Amity University, MMMEC Gorakhpur, NIT Patna and several others. \"Our recognition in these colleges by every student and faculty is a testimony of our success in itself and has become a land mark for us,\" explains Anil Singh, Co-Founder, CETPA. Currently providing trainings in Northern India, it plans to go beyond that in the coming year to reach out to maximum students and professionals who can reap the benefit of such world-class trainings. Apart from the geographical expansion, in the coming summer, it is planning to expand its team to 125 percent to start new nodal centers at different renowned colleges.
