Credihealth: The Google of Healthcare

Date:   Sunday , November 23, 2014

Though technology has ventured into each sphere of our life, healthcare is one such area where technology has just entered to play the role of an aggregator. There seems to be a dire need of one-stop source of information that provides resources on end-to-end services on various medical ailments, doctors, hospitals, treatments & its implications, and what happens post treatment. Realizing this humungous gap, Ravi Virmani along with other partners started his entrepreneurial journey and built Credihealth, a patient oriented website that provides end-to-end services of healthcare. \"Our customers use this information to compare different healthcare options and make well informed decisions toget the treatment done. We try and address all pain points for a patient which are non-clinical in nature like finding the right doctor, right hospital, appointment, booking, discounts, insurance issue and others,\" says Ravi Virmani, Founder & Managing Director, Credihealth.

Incepted in 2013, Credihealth\'s core business lies in providing its customers with credible, reliable and detailed information about hospitals and large healthcare institutions. The customers use this information to compare and book OPD or IPD appointments at top hospitals. The company is a market place for healthcare providers and has additional sales channels for them. A fresh concept has already helped the company achieve a lot of industry attention making it the Google of healthcare and helped them partner with big hospitals in NCR like Apollo, Medanta, BL Kapur, Max, Fortis and many more.

Connecting the Dots

Before co-founding Credihealth, Ravi was working as the COO of Max Hospitals where he used to help several patients with his reference. However, he didn\'t wanted to restrict this help to those who could reach him but take it to people more needy. \"I wanted to bring some transparency in the healthcare sector and help people from all walks of life. This idea helped me with the conception of Credihealth,\" Ravi adds.

With its main focus on one stop healthcare platform, the company offers a virtual clinic which makes Credihealth stand out in the crowd. This virtual clinic helps patients gather necessary medical information with the entire description of surgeries and types, surgery process and even post surgery care.\"We have live interviews of leading medical experts talking about ailments in our blog. The patients also have the liberty to choose which doctor they want to go to. We help to create the virtual clinics and showcase the big famous doctors talking about different ailments right on the screen,\" explains Ravi about how virtual clinics transcend social, cultural, language and gender barriers nationally.

A Great Healthcare Platform

Credihealth has a disruptive model that challenges the conventions of traditional healthcare. \"We have introduced Healthcare Concierge services which work like providing preventive medical advice to employees at the office through monthly checkup,\" says Ravi. This facility is available on pay per employee basis, while there is subscription basis as well wherein after establishing a stable relationship with the doctors, to be on Credihealth\'s website, these doctors will have to pay subscription charges. \"We also run a campaign on PCOD and have a large number of ladies who share their PCOD experience with each other. Half of them are from outside of this country. We have built data base of communities of people with similar ailments and think it is going to be a strong analytic tool for medical fraternity and pharma companies,\" he adds. The company also partners with couple of NGOs and acts as the bridge between the needy patients with no financial support and the NGOs.

The Road Ahead

Currently, the company has focus on its Gurgaon operations, but is geared up to expand its destination for healthcare needs on pan India basis. \"I can see my passion come alive through Credihealth and look forward to provide much better and enhanced support to patients. We are excited that the train has left the station,\" concludes Ravi.
