Do you use your mobile to book your flight tickets or search for new jobs or latest news updates or just listen to songs on the phone, chances are that the application/service has been developed by Noida based Spice Digital.

With mobile changing from just a device of communication, value added services (VAS) has emerged as the next big thing in telecom. With plummeting revenues from voice services, operators are now forced to look at VAS for newer revenue avenues. Having bet on this market from early days, Spice Digital today is one of the top three VAS players in the country with over 30 million mobile subscribers as customers. Be it voice, text, Internet, games, music or videos, the company has tied up with all major operators and OEMs in India and overseas to provide services on these front. Today, some of the major customers for Spice Digital include BSNL, Airtel, Vodafone, , Reliance Communications, Idea, Spice, MTNL and more.

The company has categorized its offering into three types —Voice and IVR, SMS and USSD and Mobile Internet Products. In SMS, it offers Bulk Messaging, B2B and B2C VAS services. Recently it launched the 139 SMS service in partnership with Indian Railways that allows consumers to check their reservation status by sending an SMS with their PNR number to 139. The service has been extremely successful and as of now it manages more than one million interactions a month.

The last segment of its services is Internet based mobile applications that include managing mobile WAP Portal for carriers and developing applications that work on Java, Blackberry, Windows, Android, iphone and BREW platforms. Here the company caters to both consumer and enterprise segments. While its offers apps for Makemytrip, Naukri, JeevanSaathi, Bookmyshow for consumers; mobile enablement of CRM, ERP, Sales Force Automation, Human Resource Management are few of the solutions that caters to the medium and large enterprises.

At 100 million daily VAS transactions and solutions in 20 plus languages, Spice Digital has emerged as a favored VAS partner by operators and OEMs (like Blackberry, Samsung, Nokia). Its availability on roaming networks with alliances stretching across 450 plus Mobile Networks across globe reflects the penetration it has in the global mobile market.
