Created to empower small and mid-sized businesses to effectively market online at a fraction of the effort and cost incurred by larger enterprises, Act-On Software is one of the fastest growing marketing automation companies. Its cloud-based marketing automation platform is the foundation of successful marketing campaigns everywhere from small, simple and direct to complex globally implemented programs.

Headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon, Act-On was founded in 2008 by Raghu Raghavan. It also has offices in Roseville and Menlo Park, California and Bangalore, India. Backed by venture capital firms like Norwest Venture Partners, Trinity Ventures, US Venture Partners and Voyager Capital, Act-On Software has raised around $30 million in various rounds of funding.

“Our fresh and creative approach offers marketers a unique alternative to needlessly complex marketing automation systems, without sacrificing any functionality,” says Raghu Raghavan, CEO, Act-On Software. The company does this with no annual contracts. Whether the client is a small business looking to try marketing automation for the first time, a mid-size company or department of a larger enterprise that needs the greater sophistication of the company’s demand generation, lead qualification, lead scoring, website tracking, webinar and event management capabilities, Act-On’s feature set can meet those needs.
David Raab, Marketing Analyst at Raab Associates positions Act-On as the fastest growing marketing automation platform.

To substantiate this claim, Act-On added 171 new customers in their fourth quarter of 2011 and reported a 405 percent increase year-over-year in annual recurring revenues. The company has continued this torrid rate of growth in 2012 and as of the third quarter of 2012, had over 1,100 customers. To keep up with this growth in customers and revenue, and to continue to provide the outstanding support it is known for, the company has more than doubled its headcount in 2012 and now employs over 125 people.
