'Entrepreneurship has no bar on age. It's never too early or late to start'. It is this philosophy that inspired Ankit Pruthi, Vibhu Garg and Karun Singla to quench their thirst and kick-start their own venture – Unicommerce in their late 20s. Bestowing a startup culture with bunch of perks – entertainment, flexibility, challenging work environment, the ability to wear multiple hats and the chance to be a part of the next big thing; the company was able to attract young and dynamic minds with an average age of 27 years. Under the leadership of these three young business leader, Unicommerce grew leaps and bounds from 10-15 people in the first 1 and a half year to 100+ employees in next same duration. "We believe in an open work environment, which sets us apart from the bigwigs in the industry. The kind of work we do in our organization, we always look for growth-obsessed people who take ownership of their roles," says Ankit Pruthi, CEO, Unicommerce.

Incepted in the year 2012, Unicommerce is the fastest growing e-Commerce management software and fulfillment solution in India operating on B2B and B2C models. With a strong belief that startups attract ambitious people who are eager to shoulder more responsibility, the company offers elasticity in their job role. Unicommerce holds 30 percent of employees who are with less than one year of experience. Thus, to keep them in sync with the latest technologies, the company provides regular mentorship programs. In addition, Unicommerce also pays for the books that employees want to read related to tech, business or e-Commerce industry. "We work in small teams of 3-5 people. We give them the context – how and what they need to do that will affect customers and industry. This helps them mature fast both professionally and personally," adds Ankit.

Attracting young but experienced, result-oriented people from premier companies and institutes, Unicommerce engages and motivates them with its employee-friendly HR policies that include weekly team events, team lunch, quarterly outstation trips, festival celebration and many more. New initiative of referral hiring has brought huge accolade to the company. Dividing the long-term goals into small missions, the company celebrates each mission through rewards and recognition for top performers almost twice every quarter.

"Growth is what separates us from others. We understand that most employees choose us for growth.Startups face much more uncertainty and therefore, we cannot really copy the big companies in appraisals. So, we keep looking for innovative ways to reward them for their excellence. We are doing well as a three years old company with attrition rate as low as three percent," he affirms.

To keep the work environment more alive, Unicommerce provides complete freedom and do not appreciate any dress code in the office. Ensuring women safety and security on the top of the list, the company also maintains a healthy male-female ratio and promotes open door policy where everyone is free to discuss their matter directly with the CEO. "Approachability inspires confidence. Besides, the objective and transparent performance review system reduces the chances of any such mishaps," adds Ankit.
