UC Web launches its UC 8.0 Browser in India

Mobile internet software technology and Application services provider company UCWeb announced their expansion in the country with their launch of UCWEB 8.0 version for the android devices in India. UC becomes the first in the world to use the “cloud computing” framework server-client hybrid computing. Powered by U3 Kernel technologies, UC Web promises to deliver enhanced performance related to speed, energy consumption and safety. The company later plans to introduce its hardware capacity and stronger HTML 5 rendering ability into U3 kernel to increase the speed of the UC browser.

Yu Yongfu, CEO of UC Web said that the company sees a great traction in Indian mobile internet space especially with the increasing mobile penetration in the Indian market with the introduction of new smart phones and the advent of 3G technology. He also added that the company is actively looking at partnering with all the leading telecom companies. It aims to achieve a customer base of 100 million by 2015. UC Web already has partnered with over 500 companies in India including Google, Getjar, Nokia, ebuddy and nimbuzz to provide end to end mobile internet services to local users.
