“Rebuilding yourself with the growing challenges in the workplace makes you highly distinctive against your competitors,” asserts Rajeev Mehtani, the new Senior Vice-President of Cypress Semiconductor. He will be responsible for managing and encouraging the company’s India operations, through a channel of proper corporate and strategic marketing operations. Mehtani brings with him a wealth of knowledge acquired through over 23 years of his global industry experience.

Prior to Cypress, he has served as the Vice-President and Country Manager at NXP Semiconductors, and his earlier association includes Philips Semiconductors. Holding remarkable credentials in the semiconductor space, Mehtani has played integral roles in design engineering, corporate marketing, and business management.

Leafing through the pages of different technology and management books, he likes to keep himself updated with the developments in technology and business. He strongly believes in teamwork and says that a leader should help and work with his team members to reach the desired goal. “The team’s success is an achievement for the leader,” opines Mehtani.
Holding on to his convictions, Mehtani advises the young techies to first learn and understand technology and then develop their core competencies to choose the career path accordingly. A graduate in electrical engineering, Mehtani also holds a master’s degree in the subject from Ireland and an MBA degree from Catholic University, Belgium.
A semiconductor executive, but still an outdoor person and avid traveler, Mehtani loves to spend time with his family in leisure. Enchanted by the lush green foliage of nature, he ardently practices gardening.
