“Leadership is about ‘sharing the vision’ - with customers, with employees, and with all stakeholders in an organization,” says Ravi Chauhan, the newly appointed Global Multimedia Applications Leader, Nortel. An alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, Chauhan joined Nortel India as the vice president of Enterprise Solutions where he was instrumental in growing the enterprise business. He was later appointed the MD of Nortel India. Prior to joining Nortel, Chauhan was Director Markets, Cabletron Systems, where he was responsible for Cabletron's Internet Service Provider, Telecom and Wide Area Networking segments across Asia Pacific, the key markets being Japan, China and Australia. During the course of his decade long career in the IT industry, Chauhan has held a number of key positions with industry leaders like Cabletron Systems, Digital Equipment India, Wipro Information Technology and Godrej and Boyce Manufacturing Company.

Commenting on his new role, Chauhan said, “When you combine top talent with a passion to win and a comprehensive product portfolio, I am confident we can take Nortel India to new heights and deliver the kind of value-added solutions our customers in all sectors expect of Nortel.”
