New leadership to steer Indian semiconductor industry

Dr. Biswadip Mitra, President and Managing Director of Texas Instruments, India has been appointed as India Semiconductor Association (ISA) Chairman for 2010-11. Pradip K Dutta, Corporate Vice President and Managing Director of Synopsis India is the Vice Chairman and Poornima Shenoy, the President.

“Electronic System Design and Manufacturing is a huge opportunity for India. Through strong acceleration by ISA member community, we aim to fast-forward the growth across multiple verticals, driven by the electronics system design and manufacturing companies. We will also focus on green energy leadership and inclusive growth,” says the newly appointed chairman.

ISA is the premier trade body representing the semiconductor driven industry in India and it aims to establish India as the favorite global destination for the electronic systems and design ecosystem. Currently they have membership from 130 companies in the semiconductor ecosystem.
