Moxtra raises Rs.62.5 Crores in First Round of Funding

Moxtra raises first round of fund of Rs.62.5 crores from the external investors CISCO and KDDI with additional participation of investors including China’s Innovation Works and the personal investment arm of Starwood Capital’s Barry Sternlicht. The fund will be used to accelerate the company’s platform development and expand its marketing efforts.

Moxtra is a Silicon Valley based technology-company focusing on productivity and collaboration solutions from mobile to desktop, and from consumer to business and is co - founded by Subrah S Iyar in 2011. Moxtra’s cloud based service enables consumers to interact seamlessly, across multiple devices like mobile phone, tablet and laptop without losing the continuity of interactions. It enables users to collect, express and share multimedia content within cloud based binders on your mobile devices and desktop computers.

The new version Moxtra V2.0 is coming up with several new features. Real time updates, text and voice bubbles and desktop sharing are few among them. With the new user interface, Moxtra V2.0 mimics iOS 7 with a flat design and allows users to AirDrop files to other iOS 7 devices. It is now available for free from the App Store for iPad, iPhone and also available in beta for Android from the Google Play Store.
