SiliconIndia is organizing the Business Intelligence Conference on Feb 12th in Chennai. The conference offered 11 sessions, delivered by the people who know BI best — the experts who design, build and support the products.

Speaking on some of the BI Softwares that help BI solutions for any business, John Soliveres, Managing Director and Co-founder, Quick Report Software said, “For SMEs, the BI software MyReport can adapt their analysis and reporting requirements without wasting financial technical resources.” Giving more insights on BI tools, Rao Yerramilli from Capgemini said, “All BI tools and methodology are dependent on Data. For data to be useful and correctly identified for BI purposes there must be association of data with meta data and context. In order to establish the credibility of the out put of BI there must be data lineage with Master Data sources feeding the models. Business Intelligence no matter how exotic tool delivers is as good as the Quality Data goes in. Quality data and quality BI can only be achieved only when Master Data and Meta Data are seamlessly integrated into BI engine and models. These are the take away from the presentation”.

Joseph S Raj, Solution Architect, Aditi Technologies speaking on ‘Best Practices in Building an Interactive Dashboards’ said ‘An interactive dashboard shoul be able to give the user maximum relevant information with minimum click”. Overall the event was a great platform for BI developers, architects, project managers and teams, IT managers, professionals and analysts.
