Mumbai-based JustDial, a local business listings site, has raised about Rs. 45 crore from Sequoia Capital Global Equities and SAP Ventures. The company is planning to use this funding to fuel their expansion. Last year they have established themselves in the U.S. and now they are targeting markets including Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Founded by VSS Mani in 1994, JustDial has B2B and B2C listings of small and medium business advertisers in India. It allows users to get information on the listings over various media- internet, call centre, mobile internet and print. The company previously raised their first round of VC funding from SAIF Partners for Rs. 50 crore in 2006 and in 2007 raised Rs. 77 crore from Tiger Global Management. They charge a listing fee to local business, which can range between 3, 000 and a few lakhs, but the service is free for the customers. JustDial has its presence in 240 cities, have 3.5 million listings and 25 million users. Sequoia had participated in an earlier round in mid 2009 when JustDial had raised Rs. 40 crore.
