Replacing textbooks with tablets will soon be a reality as Marvell has launched a Rs. 4,500 ($99) tablet Moby for students, which will revolutionize the education system. Electronic versions of textbooks on Marvell's Moby tablet can be continuously updated and refreshed.

It is powered by Marvell ARMADA 600 series processor 1080p, full-HD encode and decode, intelligent power management, power-efficient Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM, and GPS connectivity, high performance 3D graphics capability, and support for multiple software standards including full Adobe Flash, Android, and Windows Mobile.

Marvell's Moby tablet is expected to hold books for a full year's syllabus, while it weighs less than half of one typical textbook.
