ISMS: Meeting the Demand of Foreign Education at Home

The number of students going abroad for higher education from India has increased drastically over the last couple of decades. Over two-lakhs Indian students travel overseas for higher education every year, looking for an international exposure, which the country lacks. With a vision to provide global standard education in home soil, International School of Management Sciences Bangalore (ISMS) was, established in Bangalore. To meet every international aspect, the college leads with an advisory board consisting of foreign industry-institute experts, headed by Rob De Graaf, Philips Innovation Head The Netherlands, along with Indian faculties, placed to provide global exposure and a unique curriculum to their students. "The concept of the institute is to revise the curriculum through its dynamic faculty and stay at par with the universities abroad," says Dr. Vinod Rastogi, MD & Prof. Sucharita, Director-Academics, ISMS Bangalore.

As the major focus of ISMS Bangalore has been on international placements, they have managed to build a team of faculty members consisting of former industry experts with minimum three years of experience in the domestic and international market. The presence of foreign faculty members along with Indian experts make a formidable team and it has been helping ISMS Bangalore to bring global methods of teaching inside the campus. Further meeting to the demand of this international exposure, the college sends its students on internships and student exchange programs abroad, based on merits and projects. "International network is one of the key aspects, which set us apart from other B-schools. We bring the overseas system at home and also send our students abroad for more practical experiences," says Prof. Sucharita Director-Academics, ISMS Bangalore.

With international and Indian faculty combining to shape the students, the institution certainly provides a unique curriculum, which plays a major role in placing their students across the globe. The placement program of the college is designed in such a way that students are helped to get recognition globally. Today, ISMS Bangalore boasts of its alumni in some of the top-notch international companies. Naming a few major recruiters, JP Morgan Finance, Times Group, RIL, HSBC Bank, Bajaj Finance, 99 acres, HDFC Bank, Honeywell Technologies, IBM India, UB group, Accenture and Axis Bank tops the list. "ISMS, aims to provide excellent global exposure, widening the domain of thoughts, abilities and practices of the students.
