While the demand for skilled MBA graduates in the market has been rising exponentially every passing year, statistics shows that the workforce produced by the premiere institutions are not even close to the required number. This is where Business Schools from the private sector make a mark. There are numerous B schools, having a label of high reputation, producing a large number of the required graduates who are equally capable and skilled at their jobs when compared with the premier institutions in India. The fact that this year Delhi School of Business beat all the new IIMs to the race and became India's number one Emerging Business School is evidence to the point we are trying to put forward here. Also this year's placement records of several B Schools such as MDI Gurgaon also saw a huge increase in the annual packages. The packages received by the students were much higher than the expected hike; it was more than 10 percent in average. By adopting the case study method, by setting up incubation centers and by creating international collaborations for research and exchange programs, these B Schools are providing the students much more than what they bargain for.

In the latest edition of "What If Not IIM's", Silicon India Education brings an overview of some of the Top B-schools that can give as good, as it gets to IIM's. This list is made using a methodology which many research experts have used over the last decade. The survey also represents the viewpoints of several renowned and experienced business leaders from the industry. While the survey is conducted on the basis of nominations received from the institutes, they have been evaluated and shortlisted by a panel of educationalists, HR recruiters, and the Silicon India Education based on the data inputs provided by the institutes.
