'Study Abroad Exams', a Gateway to One's Dream

Thousands of students migrate to various parts of the world every year to complete their higher studies. Presently, the experience of studying abroad has gone beyond just pursuing a career or higher education to something that influences an individual's worldviews and instills a vivid understanding of life. While the countries around the world are liberalizing their visa policies to accommodate students of all academic backgrounds and interests from across the globe, there are still certain preset academic standards that need to be met in order to gain admission to a university or college with global standards. One among the criteria is clearing the competitive international entrance exams. Good performances in a competitive 'study abroad' exams will help students to get an admission in top colleges outside their country and win scholarships and other forms of financial aid, to pursue higher education. These 'Study Abroad' exams benefit students in studying abroad and make their future brighter and job-ready by getting quality exposure in academics and other cruises of life.

Before opting for educational opportunities outside India, a student has to go through the rigorous process of selection, which is the gateway for students to their dream institutions. Hence, study abroad entrance exams have become very popular among international students, especially Indian students. Some of the most popular, and most important, international entrance exams include the SAT, MCAT, LSAT, GMAT, GRE, IELTS and the TOEFL. These are required for admission to universities and colleges in various countries across the globe. Some of the universities require a combination of these and other tests/examinations specific to that country and its education system. The TOEFL and the IELTS top the list with regard to the sheer number of students across the world needing to undertake one or the other to demonstrate English language proficiency. The widest possible selection of universities and colleges accept TOEFL scores, including the top 100 in the UK, U.S, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The IELTS is a mandatory exam for Indian and other non-native English speakers, especially in the Commonwealth countries, for entry into most reputed universities and colleges overseas, and occasionally for immigration requirements as well. Other competitive study abroad examinations include the MCAT and the LSAT, mandatory for getting into medicine and law respectively in the U.S.

Competitive entrance exams are a standardized and reliable mode of evaluating millions of applicants who aspire to study abroad. To fulfill one's dreams of studying abroad, students needs to invest time in preparing themselves well and become mentally ready to go the dream institution.
