Established in 1985 by the Ramachandra Educational and Health Trust, Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai became a deemed university in 2006. The university currently caters to both national and international students. An institute that provides the much required training in health care it has a mission in actively promoting and preserving the higher values and ethics in education, healthcare and research. Offering a range of courses including medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, management, nursing and biomedical studies, technology and research, the Sri Ramachandra University provides every facility required by students for academic endeavors. Skill labs, research centers to promote research activities and so on, active learning centers and a well stocked library are all provided. The university boasts of state-of-the-art laboratories, which have been provided for students to carry out their research with currently over 500 research projects ongoing. The University has a burgeoning training and placement cell catering to the needs of the student ensuring that they are prepared to face the job market with all the necessary skills.
