A Memorandum of Understanding has been duly signed between the two premier institutions to offer certification programs like Certificate Programme on Securities Market Analysis, Certificate Programme on Financial Modelling and Algorithm Trading and Certificate Programme on Derivatives and Option Trading Strategies. Ravi Varanasi, Chief of Business Development, NSE and CEO, NSE Academy, and S K Sharma, Registrar Admin, IGNOU, signed the MOU in the presence of Dr. Ravindra Kumar, Vice Chancellor (In-Charge), IGNOU, Prof. Madhu Tyagi, Director, School of Management Studies (SOMS) along with officials from IGNOU and NSE Academy on 24th January 2017.

This distance learning course would involve joint involvement for content development for the three courses. As per Ravi, “The mentioned certification programs will proffer the students with ample opportunities who are seeking a career in the stock markets”. Dr. Ravindra duly believes that IGNOU will play a significant role in bringing about revolutionary changes in society with education as its arsenal and students enrolling in these novel courses will contribute to the skill development initiatives by the Government. Selected programs are expected to commence by July 2017 that would involve admission procedures as per the regulations laid down by IGNOU.
