The students and the faculty from Delhi School of Professional Studies and Research(DSPSR), Delhi remained preoccupied in the first week of the New Year preparing for the XVII International Seminar (IS) which was held on Jan. 3 & 4, 2016. The IS has been a part of the DSPSR tradition for more than sixteen years now.

In the words of Prof. B.P. Singh, Chairman, DSPSR, “We are internationally linked in many ways and one of the ways is by holding an International Seminar every year, in which at least 10 to 12 countries’ scholars, teachers and vice chancellors come and participate from world, and about 200 delegates participate from India which is held for two days at India Habitat Centre, New Delh, which is a regular feature of our institution for the last sixteen years.”

Among the mushrooming of a number institutes, engaged in imparting higher education, DSPSR has been able to distinguish itself with its extraordinary performances In terms of excellent national and international collaborations, which result in several beneficial outcomes for the students. Participating in seminars and conferences keeps the students and the faculty intellectually active and curious; it further leads to several innovative projects, and a number of published papers in reputed national and international journals.

Apart from maintaining international linkages, the Institution is fully aware of the gravity of the skill gap in India. Our Institution has set up a Training and Placement Cell, where the students are trained and prepared for industry by the experts. The Cell coordinates with industry experts and keeps in touch with the current trends and prepares the students accordingly. One of the most important aspects of this preparation and placement cell is the Personality Development programmes through which the students are molded to fit into the needs of Industry. The training is given from the very beginning of the students’ entry into our Institution to make sure that the students are industry ready by the time they graduate.

Industrial visits and interactions are organized by the Placement Team on a regular basis and specific technical training and interview skills are also taught to the students. All the trainings provided finally culminate into excellent placement records for the institution. Every year in the placement drives, more than 30 companies visit the campus for recruitment; the major recruiters of the institution are AON Hewitt, Bajaj Allianz, Life insurance corp. and TATA who offer packages up to 5 lakhs to the students, besides more of other corporate visit the D.S.P.S.R.
