Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) was founded in 1988 in Greater Noida under the aegis of the Birla Academy of Art and Culture. For bringing academics and industry together, the institute has established �Centre of Excellence� where centre for business management, insurance and risk management, international business and policy, India public policy, innovation and entrepreneurship development, management development and consultancy, provide hands on industrial trainings to the students. The accreditation by AICTE, AASCB, Association Indian Universities, and Association of Commonwealth Universities and NBA has provided BIMTECH with a global edge, enabling collaborations, student exchange and international scholarships with universities in Australia, Bangladesh, Finland, France and many more.

The India Study Programme is an international academic branch educating Indians and international candidates in emerging market programme, executive business programme and thought leadership programme. Additionally, the institute is a part of UNIQUE, an Erasmus Funded project for international collaborations in research programmes, and in association with several international universities, brings industry and academics on the same platform by organizing International Conference on Management Cases. The sprawling campus also plays host to students from Austria as a part of BIMTECH International Summer School where they are taught about the Indian culture and business methodology.

The entrepreneurial segment is assisted by CIED (Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development) on campus and fuels the BIMTECH Business Incubation Centre for on and off campus startups. BIMTECH, in association with Goldman Sachs, conducts certificate programmes for women entrepreneurs. Various eminent personalities like Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Amit Kohli, Managing Director and Co-Founder, Food Panda, and many more have been invited as guest speakers at various BIMTECH events.
