Kandasaamy,Correspondent,ArulmuruganCollege of Engineering says this with immense confidence, he is on a mission to pave a new path for many students who come from a rural background. “Engineering students from rural areas face the biggest hindrances incommunication and presentation, which eclipse their skills and stunt their growth in their professional careers,” he adds. With 28 years of experience in the education sector, Dr. Kandasaamy today, leads Arulmurugan College of Engineering, which was established in 2012 in Karur, Tamil Nadu by Sarasvati Educational Trust.

To overcomehindrances during the interview and understanding lectures, he hasintroducedvalue added courses such asPersonal development, communication skills in “language Lab,”15 days prior to course-classes, which are a part of the curriculum. The English department and faculty from other reputed colleges and external agencies conduct these classes for students of Arulmurugan College of Engineering. The Lab for learning English has “English learning” software likes “Hi-class ” and “Globarena software” installed, where students are taught Phonetics, Vocabulary and spoken English. These classes help students to overcome the fear of speaking in English and make their progression easy throughout course, in industry and in the world outside.

Creating Quality Engineers
Despite the short existence of college, the faculty of the college consists of PhD Holders, Doctorates and Masters, with average experience of 12 years and expertise in theirrespective disciplines that have numerous published international journals to their name (7- 60 journals).Other thanteaching main--stream engineering courses with excellence, the college also provides post engineering courses like CAD, CREO, CADTutor, Pro-E and others, free of cost. Guided by experts and experienced faculty, the laboratory is facilitated with advanced technology and equipmentssuch asHydraulics, Kaplan turbine, Pelton wheels and Francis turbine, CNC machine (Computer Numeric Controller Machine), CNC milling center, CNC turning center, conventional milling machines, gear hobbing machines, synchronous motors, induction motors, optical lab, microwave wave lab and other equipments used during engineering. The lab also has high range CROs of 35 MHz.

As placements arethe integral closure that everyone looks forward to, the institute hasestablished MoUs with several multinational giants, which help students in getting many opportunities to find the right job after they graduate from the institute.
