Wynncom launches new range dual-SIM mobile handsets


Bangalore: Wynn Telecom, a part of 2500Cr SAR Group, has launched a new range of seven dual-SIM mobile handsets. This new range of handsets, launched with the company's new brand ambassador Bipasha Basu, are a mix of utility, multimedia and Qwerty phones. The price range of the mobiles starts from 1,500 and goes up to 5,000. The company, which aims to be among top three Indian mobile brands within 12 months, plans to invest 500 crore in both India and China in the coming 2 years, 80 percent of which would be for India alone. According to Rakesh Malhotra, Founder and Chairman, Wynn Telecom, the company's main target markets are tier 2, tier 3 cities and rural India. Around 90 percent of the company's handsets will be below 5,000 and 60 percent of them will be below 3,000, he added. The company is going to set up its own manufacturing unit in Himachal Pradesh, on which a sum of 270 crore would be invested. Currently, Wynncom handsets are being imported from China. It has launched its products simultaneously through a PAN India network of 400+ Distributors and 25,000+ Retail counters, which is supported by a PAN India Service network covering 300 Locations.
