World's Top 10 Mobile Phone Manufacturers
#3 Apple
The premium and the most touted Smartphone manufacturer occupied the third position in the global sales list. Apple sold 150.78 million units of its executive class gadget and holds the title of the manufacturer that produces only smart phones. The U.S. handset manufacturer was successful in selling 150.78 million units of their phone in 2013 marking an increase of 20 million units.
#2 Nokia
Even though Nokia is said to be losing its hold in the mobile phone market; the Finnish handset vendor managed to occupy the second slot in the global sales of their units. Nokia which sold its business to Microsoft was able to sell 250.79 million units of their product in 2013. However the mobile maker saw a decline in its market share occupying 13.9 percent in 2013 against 19.1 percent it held in 2012.
#1 Samsung
Dictating the course of the sales, Samsung took the trophy for the handset manufacturer that sold the largest number of units. The emergence of Android and Smartphones’ helped Samsung a lot in occupying 24.6 percent of the global mobile phone sales. The South Korean mobile maker was able to sell a whooping number of 444 million units in 2013 bagging the first position.
