Why Not to Buy a Low-Cost Tablet?


Final Verdict

Purchasing a tablet is based on what you are expecting from the device. If you are using it for primary functions like net surfing, using Facebook, Gmail, Twitter etc, reading e-book, listening music and basic document work, then low cost tablet would be fine for you.

If you want a tablet for watching videos, playing games or doing graphics concentrated tasks like editing videos or photographs and keep lots of applications on the tablet then low cost tablet is not for you.

The good news is that most of the branded tablets are getting price cut as the low cost devices are dominating the Indian market. For example the Apple iPad 2, BlackBerry Playbook, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 etc slashed their price recently. However many Indian brands are producing better quality tablet than before, offering good options like updated operating system and better processor and storage. Karbonn recently announced its latest Smart Tab which is running on Google’s latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
