Top Rated Camera Apps For iOS 8
This app has a good set of manual controls which has to be tapped at least twice or thrice to be accessed. The app’s design strategy revolves around unnamed setting icons which can be quite confusing for some new users but once you get used to the app, it is quite simple. A lot of VSCOcam's controls are buried under menus so setting up a shot can take time.
At the top you have a few controls for flash, tilt preview and many more advanced features. The tilt preview on the VSCOcam is better than the one in Camera Plus because it shows you both vertical and horizontal tilts where the Camera Plus’ is limited to horizontal tilts. The VSCOcam has good editing features with a wide range of filters, effects and customizable controls.
# Manual
Manual is the best camera app for photographers. If you wanted all the DSLR controls on your phone, this one is the perfect app for you. This app opens up faster than any of the third-party apps though the default app is still the quickest one. Manual offers good sliding controls for shutter speed and light sensitivity.
On the top bar, it comes with controls for manual focus and white balance modes which include a temperature control slider and a flash. The best part about the app is the live histogram just above the bottom panel, which helps you see if the image will be well-lit or under or over-exposed. But on the downside, this app lacks editing controls where another app should do the job for you.
