2. Nikon Coolpix P7100

The Coolpix P7100 is an updated version on Nikon Coolpix P7000. The main addition over its predecessor is the second function button, tilting LCD screen, faster image processor, response time and special effects mode.

The camera features a 10.1 mega pixel CCD image sensor, 7.1x optical zoom, 4x digital zoom and capable of 720p HD video recording. It comes with a 3 inch TFT LCD monitor with anti reflection coating LCD screen which can be tilted upwards or downwards. The screen has an image display resolution of 921,000 dots and video display resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels at 24 frames per seconds.

It is relatively thick and heavy compact camera with lots of functional button around. It gives the full manual function as in digital SLR cameras and also has advanced customized options.
