5. Processor and Connectivity

Most tablets in India have single core processor between 600 MHz to 1 GHz speed and we all know ‘faster the processor, better the performance’. There are tablets with 800 MHz processor which does a decent job. It is recommended to buy a tablet with 800 MHz to 1 GHz processor for speedy and better performance.

Higher capacity memory is also a contributing factor for speedy performance. The 256 MB of RAM on Android tablets works well, but having a 512 MB of RAM provides a better performance. It is better to buy a fast tablet having a high capacity RAM.

As far as connectivity is concerned; most of us buy tablets to browse web when we are on the move. Preferably you should opt for a tablet which supports 3G, the Wi-Fi only works well if you are in near to the Wi-Fi hotspot. There are some tablets with 3G connectivity which allows you to make calls and send test messages too. This will be a bonus for those who do not like to carry many devices on the go.
