BENGALURU: After tasting success with Super Mario, Nintendo is all set to launch its new Super Mario Run for Android and iOS. Now that’s really strange, as this is the first time a Mario game has been developed for non-Nintendo hardware. The game is scheduled to be released on iOS on December 15, 2016, and an Android version will be released later in 2017
Super Mario Run comes with double fun as compared to the previous game. if you want to enjoy the game you’ll have to make 370MB of storage space; this might sound very less but problem could arise in 16GB iOS devices or because of poor Internet connection.
Super Mario Run costs around
620 in India and $9.99 in the US, making Super Mario Run one of the more expensive games on the App Store but the best part is that you can try few levels for free; probably you can expect three levels and a brief sampling of the fourth.
Game Play
Super Mario Run basically is a side-scrolling, auto-runner platform game. Player controls Mario, as he runs from left to right. To make him jump, player needs to tap on the screen. To make him jump long and high, you need to tap and hold screen for long. Similar to the Super Mario games, player must control Mario to cross the hurdles like pit and enemies, and also help Mario collect points. The bottom line is to safely get Mario through the level in the fastest time possible.
Additionally, Super Mario Run comes with more challenging modes, and difficulty levels. Player can choose the mode they are comfortable and go ahead with the game. For instance, "Toad Rally" game mode where players can challenge "ghost" versions of other players' playthroughs of levels.
Can it be played without internet?
The answer is ‘NO’. Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto, founder of Mario, has revealed that Internet connection is a must to play Super Mario Run.
