2. Sony S770BT and E570/E470 series Walkman

Sony E470

The other two walkman S770BT and E570/E470 have hit the markets in Europe and are yet to be launched in U.S.A.  The walkman will find its way into the U.S. market by August. The S series walkman fall in the midrange and budget categories. The walkmans feature a 2-inch LCD screen and the UI standard media player. The feature that Sony is touting as its USP is its MDR-NWBT10 Bluetooth wireless earbuds and 36 hours of battery life during audio playback. These walkmans also provide 6 hours of battery backup if you want to watch a movie on your walkman.

The Walkman E470 is termed as the “slimmest ever walkman from Sony.” It is only about a quarter inch thick. This walkman comes in two colors variants- red and black. E470 comes in three memory variants, 4GB, 8GB and 16 GB each costing 4,500, 5,000 and 6,000 respectively.

The walkmans come with additional applications of lyrics support and karaoke mode.

Sony E570

The walkman E570 comes with a feature of noise cancelling. This is the only walkman with such a feature. It also comes with a pair of MDR-NC033E noise cancelling ear buds. This walkman supports two memory variants of 8 GB and 16 GB.
